Teucrium orientale, Linn. Erect perennial herb, about 1 ft. high, branched at base, green and glabrous or pubescent, canescent: lvs. 1-2-pinnatisect, lower l 1/2-2 in. long, segms. linear, entire or incised, both surfaces pale or green; upper lvs. smaller; floral lvs. minute: peduncles laxly racemose, irregularly 1-3-fld.; pedicels much longer than floral lvs.: fls. violet or blue; calyx campanulate, teeth lanceolate; corolla 3 times longer than calyx. Caucasus and Asia Minor. CH
