Iris tenax, Douglas. Sheaths short: lvs. 6-12 in. long: st. 6-12 in. long: pedicel ½ -2 in. long: outer segm. broadly obovate, with an acute point; blade about as long as the claw, bright lilac, with purple veins and a variegated white and yellow spot on the throat; inner segms. shorter, waved.
