Stolons long, ascending, appearing in spring and sometimes bearing fls. the same season: lvs. nearly triangular, cordate, with deep and broad sinus, obtuse; stipules lanceolate, long-acuminate, with glandular fringe: fls. fragrant, usually white, but sometimes in various shades of violet and rose.
