Zygadenus fremontii, Torr. Lvs. an inch or less broad, less glaucous than the above: bracts green: fls. usually larger, rotate, the segms. free from the ovary. Calif. from San Diego north, in the Coast Range.—One of the "soap plants.” Said to be the best of the genus for cult.
